For admissions to elementary through high schools (secondary schools), the common standardized tests are ISEE® and SSAT®. During high school, students will take the PSAT® for practice and scores are used by colleges and universities for awards and summer programs.
ISEE®
Known as the Independent School Entrance Exam. Test includes verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, reading comprehension, mathematics achievement, and an essay section.

PSAT®
The PSAT will be taken at your school. If your school does not offer PSAT, or you are in home school, you can search for a location here. Test includes critical reading, math and writing skills.
SSAT®
Known as the Secondary School Admissions Test. Test includes quantitative math, verbal, reading comprehension, writing sample, and experimental.

For College Admissions, the common standardized tests are SAT® SAT SUBJECT TESTS® AP® ACT®. You don't have to take them all! But, you do need to strategize on which tests would benefit you most. (Of course, some are required.)

Are you looking to apply for graduate or professional schools? You'll probably need one of these tests: LSAT® GMAT® GRE® MCAT® DAT OAT PCAT TOFEL®.
